Manitoba First Nations Education Resource Centre Inc. (MFNERC) provides the province’s leading education, administration, technology, language and culture services to First Nations schools in Manitoba. To date we provide services and support to 58 First Nations schools from 49 Manitoba First Nations. We promote and encourage First Nations involvement in all aspects of the development and implementation of educational change.

Recently, the MFNSS held a Minecraft Design Challenge at the RBC Convention Centre as part of the eSports program. In teams of 3-4, First Nations students from MFNSS schools designed and built interconnected themed escape rooms that featured problem-solving and critical-thinking skills
We recently held the first Youth Land-based Numeracy Fair, hosted by the MFNERC Numeracy Team, and supported by Language and Culture facilitators, at St Vital Park in Winnipeg.
The 2023 Circle of Knowledge and Practices Conference was a great success!
